Just 2 weeks before the mobile craze will hit Barcelona again, so here’s Rudy’s annual list of side events and *places to be*: the events and networking cocktails next to the classic big industry players mega parties.

Mobile Sunday 2012

- The classic meet-up of mobile influencers before the Mobile World Congress.

The seventh annual Mobile Sunday – the now classic meet-up of mobile influencers, developers, investors and entrepreneurs will be taking place in Barcelona on the eve of this year’s Mobile World Congress at City Hall in the heart of Barcelona, near Plaça de Catalunya.

Mobile Sunday is the place where the stories that matter are launched the day before the conference starts. Mobile Sunday is also a unique chance for you to meet AppCircus organizers and winners and to meet the MobileMonday global chapter founders in one spot during the conference.

Mobile Premier Awards

The Mobile Premier Awards 2012 mark the end of the AppCircus year and brings together the winners of more than 30 countries worldwide. You will have a rare chance to meet developers from all over the world competing for the best app of the year. The competition is the largest open and global cross-platform app competition in the mobile industry, it provides the point of reference for the startup and developer community during Mobile World Congress.

Bubble Over Barcelona

Bubble Over Barcelona (BOB) is a mini-conference that brings the many innovators and disruptors from the Silicon Valley area to the global mobile meet up that is Mobile World Congress. Merry Christmas 2011 and a Happy New Year 2012

After an extremly successful year 2011 it’s time to say "goodbye" to the old year. We wish all of you a Merry Christmas (call it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Festivus) and a Happy New Year 2012.

To bring you in the right mood, our partner – the RatGeberZentrale has produced this little clip.

We like humor a lot, but want to confirm to you, that we continue with our professional services in a professional and profitable way also in 2012.

We are looking forward to meet you at the very first MobileMonday in 2012 on January 30th at the ISPO in Munich. And just two days later in MobileMonday Germany’s very first "MoMo Lounge" for 2 days in Frankfurt at the M-Days.

Afterwards lets meet either at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, at CeBit 2012 in Hannover, at the ITB in Berlin, at SEO Campixx at the Müggelsee near Berlin, at the Internet World fair and congress in Munich, at the re:Publica in Berlin or at the NEXT congress also in Berlin.

So, this is our first and preliminary event plan for the first 4 1/2 months in 2012.

In order to be well prepared for all the work and events ahead, my whole family and me will relax a bit in the wonderful mountains of South Tyrol, starting Christmas eve.

Fall 2011 – Events, Events, Events

Already 3 weeks ago I attended as every year DMEXCO. THE fair, congress and networking spot to be, when you are working in digital. To be? Really?

	As far as I can see it today, this was my last trip for this to Cologne. Just too much "sales piches". Well, this is what this fair is all about. But it is now too much for me. I’m missing a spirit of new experiences and more things to discover. And it looks as I’m not the only one thinking that way. Here is a blog post about this event (in German).
After the Cologne trip I took 10 days off and spent some time in Italy – on the north side of Sardinia, to be precise.
After some time in the office now, Medientage is ahead, again as every year. Not sure yet how much time I will spent there as it is just another "must do" event"
The really great events are coming in	November:

Roadmap for example looks to be the perfect event to attend. Especially when others have to stick in the grey, normally cold month of November here.
So, after some work in NYC I will be in good old San Francisco again. This USA trip will unfortunately hinder me from attending the MobileMonday National Summit on November 14th in Dusseldorf. But we intend to connect MoMo Dusseldorf with MoMo Los Angeles, where I will be at that day. Let’s see how this works out.
	But this is not the end. On November 22nd, I’m supposed to moderate a workshop on Online-PR and SEO (in German). Interested to attend? Just click now. We also prepared a cool online-presentation for our extended Online Services in the field of Construction and Housing ("Bauen & Wohnen"). Have a look at it. I think it is worth giving it a try. So, after I did not write anything for the last 4 months, you now are well informed where you can scheduele a meeting now. Happy Autumn 2011!

Am Mittwoch, den 6. Juli 2011 wird Harald als Leiter der RatGeberZentrale in Köln einen Vortrag zum Thema “Social Media im Mittelstand – Voraussetzungen für Erfolg” halten. Im Fokus wird dabei die Nutzung von Facebook Pages stehen. Von den “Schwergewichten” liest man des öfteren die Erfolgsmeldungen – z.B. von Ferrero’s NUTELLA (international mehr als 10 Mio. Fans – in Deutschland über mehrere Pages bis zu 1 Million Fans). Und man liest auch über die echten und vermeintlichen Flops – z.B. den Fall “Daimler vs. Facebook-Gruppe ‘Daimler-Kollegen gegen Stuttgart 21′” oder das Chefticket der DB. Wo aber steht der Mittelstand? Was bewegt ihn bzw. sollte ihn bewegen? Für wen macht eine Facebookpräsenz Sinn und was kann oder darf realistisch erwartet werden? Wenn man sich für eine Facebookpräsenz als Mittelständler entscheidet, was sind dann die wesentlich Erfolgsfaktoren oder zumindest Erfolgschancen?

It has never been easier before to convince a business partner to invest & move forward in almost any kind of digital businesses after they see figures like those on the left side.

In the last 10 years the amount of daily published newspapers only declined by -5,1%. But the daily sold amount already declined by -20%. And the worst of all in this context have been the advertising revenues: Those felt by amazing -39,2%.

Thanks to the web and easy to use blog software as well as extended offerings in communities and in social networks like Facebook, it is pretty easy to gain a meaningful audience even in a niche market.

6 years MediaWireless – 102 days in 2011

Sometimes birthdays are not really spectacular. So I almost forgot, that MediaWireless got established April 10th, 2005. So with this week, we are 6 years in business. Originally almost everything was focussed on Web-TV or Webvideos. So it is not astonishing, that in this area we can show the biggest success stories over the last years.

Just in 2011, that are 102 days from January 1st until April 12th, we delivered ONLY on YouTube 5,010,703 videos. This means, each single day in 2011 we delivered (again, just on YouTube!) 49,125 video views per day.

I think, this is quite an interesting figure and worth to celebrate our birthday – isn’t it? We also grew from one channel on YouTube to nowadays 18 channels as of today.

But not only our “webvideo business” grew, so did our overall activities in the TIMES markets. Especially in the last 12 months we started a lot of activities with our customers and also a small portion in our owned “domains”. The acquisition of Oplayo.com and our Q3 or Q4 / 2011 plans with it are pretty exciting.

At the same time we see a tremendous successful project “RatGeberZentrale” and a pretty good re-start of the “Reisemesse“. But for today, we just want to share one more chart with you and continue to celebrate “6 years in business“. Thank all our customers and partners for their ongoing support!
